You see, Obi-Wan Kenobi has a newfound confidence and his connection to the force is getting stronger by the minute. Vader becomes too confident, and once again this will bring him a defeat, just like in the past. Vader is impatient and lacks the ability to foresee that Obi-Wan Kenobi is planning something against him. Obi-Wan Kenobi tricks Anakin, stealing his weapon from him and teaching his padawan a lesson that he will soon forget.īack in the present, Anakin is Darth Vader, and his forces have Obi-Wan Kenobi trapped along with the refugees. What Anakin doesn’t see is that there are many ways to fight. So, when he manages to disarm Obi-Wan Kenobi, he thinks the battle is over, and that victory is his. Anakin is an amazing fighter, but he doesn’t really see further than what he has in front of him. ![]() In the flashback, we see both characters fighting with all they got, and it is clear that Anakin is being more violent in his style than he needs to. And it will jump back and forth throughout the episode as we see both friends having a lightsaber battle, where Anakin will learn that his need to prove himself will be his undoing. The episode threads this flashback as a thematic core. It is a welcome sight to see the actor’s face back on the screen. This is the first major scene for Hayden Christensen without the Darth Vader suit to hide his face.
